We live in a democracy with the rule of law. No one is above the law, right? Station Casinos has been found guilty of breaking federal law 88 times by two federal administrative law judges, which would make it the worst violator of labor law in Nevada gaming history.
Who wants to do business with a company that violates federal law like it’s going out of style, let alone one that is engaging in the war on the middle class and labor unions? Labor unions are responsible for the 40 hour work week, weekends, reasonable pay, health benefits, pensions, etc., that even non-union workers enjoy. We have had such great success building a middle class in this country over the past 60-70 years primarily thanks to unions. Now they are under attack and made the scapegoat by greedy companies like Station Casinos.
Station’s recent public campaign against the Culinary Union is shameful, at best. Their attempt to defame Culinary so they can maximize their enormous profit margins is so low. It’s time they were held accountable for these actions. Join with me in pledging to boycott, and refuse to do business with this organization or it’s affiliates (like Barley’s or Fiestas). Also, send Station a message here.
This week, some Station employees and Culinary members are teaming up and participating in a fast to raise awareness of this issue. You can stop by and visit them today or tomorrow outside Palace Station. Show them you stand in solidarity for their rights.
Station employees simply want the chance to have a fair process to determine if the employees want to be represented by the union, without interference from management. All these Casinos have, so why not Station?

Station management who’s own best interest clearly outweighs the best interest of their workers. No job security, no paid benefits, and somehow culinary is painted as a ridiculous threat for providing those things. If you still don’t think Station Casinos is stingy, go gamble at any property and ask for a red-bull.
