Affordable Care Act is Saving Lives, Plain and Simple

Why are Republicans repeatedly attacking and making it their number one priority to repeal President Obama’s health care reform bill, The Affordable Care Act? Watch the video below and comment whether you think Republicans should/shouldn’t be ashamed of themselves for attacking something that is saving lives.

Like an old scratched up vinyl record, Republicans repeatedly attempt to argue that all our economic woes can be traced to taxes, welfare, unions and the downgrade of our moral fabric as a nation. That’s the essence of their entire platform.

When Mitt Romney, and many many Republicans before him, introduced similar legislation to “Obamacare” in the past, that was okay. But when a Democrat tried to take the “conservative” approach and use a free market tool to get more people health coverage, it’s labeled socialism and welfare.

One thing is certain…the Affordable Care Act is saving lives. If there were ever really any “death panels,” it would be the insurance companies that routinely deny coverage to people who have been paying their insurance with their hard earned pay for years. Most Americans are one illness away from bankruptcy. The old system was certainly not working. Why anyone would be against these needed changes to our health care industry is beyond me. Thank you President Obama for standing up for regular Americans.
