Affordable Health Care Act for America is helping

Jamelle Bouie of The Nation reports some good news:.

“For political and implementation reasons, most of the Affordable Care Act won’t take effect until 2014. Among the provisions that have begun, however, is a change that allows young adults (men and women immediately out of college) to remain on their parent’s health insurance plans. As this new Gallup poll shows, this small change has yielded a big effect:”

The Affordable Care Act

Gallup Poll

“Here’s Gallup with an explanation, ‘About one in four (24.2%) 18- to 25-year-olds reported being uninsured in the second quarter of this year, down from 28% in the third quarter of 2010, and nearly the lowest Gallup has measured at any point since it began tracking health insurance coverage rates in 2008.’”

This should help President Obama’s re-election and stem the tide of resistance of the Republican Party and their Tea Party members.

One Response to Affordable Health Care Act for America is helping

  1. Every person deserves health care. people should be paid.
So free health care paid for with taxes. I can’t imagine any caring person complaining about that.
We could pay more taxes and it would be less than insurance most can’t afford anymore, so we pay with it anyway thro taxes called medicaid. Get real say yes to THE AFFORDABLE CARE. People want to call it Obama care because they don’t care about people, and hate the President. Learn about it, see for yourself!
